Fighting Suicide.
Changing Campus Culture.
The Fight Against Suicide (TFAS) is not your typical mental health nonprofit. Weβre building a culture that meets students where they are: physically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually. Founded in 2021 in memory of UGA student, athlete, and fraternity brother Sam Asbury, TFAS is redefining how suicide prevention looks on college campuses across the country.
Itβs real. Itβs raw. And itβs making an impact.
why we fight
Suicide is the second-leading cause of death amongst the decade of change, people ages 15-25. Young men are the least likely to seek help β the most likely to suffer in silence. Weβre here to change that.
Wellness that moves people
Our signature initiative, TFAS Wellness Week, is a multi-day campus activation designed around our six pillars of Mental Fitness: exercise, diet, community, reflection, meditation, and spirituality. By integrating these elements into high-energy, student-led events, we equip students with tangible tools so they can navigate stress, recover from setbacks, and stay on track when things get tough.
